Dr. Christina Megli, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and a physician-scientist in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Reproductive Infectious Diseases.    Her research focuses on understanding how infections and immune responses at the maternal-fetal interface influence pregnancy outcomes, with particular emphasis on placental biology, fetal membrane immunity, and host-pathogen interactions during pregnancy. A major focus of her laboratory  is developing immune-cell containing models that recapitulate features of the maternal-fetal interface.
